For your business
By role: what to use and what's safe to connect
Executive assistant
ChatGPT dots or Grok Bot keep working between meetings2810; Copilot or Gemini if you'd rather stay inside Outlook or Gmail. Safe to connect: calendar (read), inbox (read and draft). Keep approval on: sending, accepting invites.
Research
Perplexity for sourced answers, ChatGPT or Gemini deep research for long reports, Manus when you want slides at the end. Safe to connect: nothing private. Public web research needs no company accounts.
For everyday life
At home
- Errands and bookings (US/Canada): Muse from Meta has a free tier and asks before purchases2526. Turn off training first.
- Trips and price comparisons: Gemini with Chrome auto browse (Pro, US and India)18, or the Perplexity Comet browser.
- One assistant for everything: ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro at $20/month is enough for most people16.
- Privacy-first and handy with tech: OpenClaw on a spare computer, chatting over WhatsApp or Telegram22.
Decide
How to choose in 5 questions
- Where does your day already live? Microsoft: Copilot. Google: Gemini. Neither: ChatGPT or Claude.
- Do you need it to act, or just answer? Answers: any $20 plan. Acting in apps while you're away: dots, Grok Bot, Muse, Manus, Lindy.
- What will you let it touch? Email, calendar, browser, files, computer. Pick the narrowest access that still does the job.
- Is it work data? Then a business plan with admin controls and no training by default.
- What's the budget? $0–20 covers most people; $100+ is for handing off hours a day. Check it's sold in your country.
Before you click "Connect"
Safe to connect to company accounts?
Use the business tier. Consumer plans generally lack SSO and admin consoles16, and an agent that can read email can be tricked by what's in it: OpenAI documents this "prompt injection" risk for its own agent4.

|---|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT Business | No (by default)5 | Yes, Type 25 | SSO, admin retention; SCIM/RBAC on Enterprise53 |

| Grok Bot | Opt-out available10 | unknown | Cursor SSO; Enterprise DLP & network controls10 |
| Manus Team | Opt-out on Team13 | Yes, Type 214 | SSO, access control, analytics13 |
| Perplexity Enterprise | No17 | unknown | Domain-level action limits, MDM, audit logs at 50+ seats1716 |
| Gemini Enterprise | No19 | unknown | Admin connector & sharing controls19 |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot | No20 | unknown | Purview, eDiscovery, retention policies20 |
| Lindy | No24 | Yes24 | SSO, SCIM, audit logs on Enterprise24 |
| OpenClaw / Hermes | Your choice of model provider2223 | n/a (self-hosted) | Whatever you build; sandboxing available2223 |
| Muse | unknown | unknown | unknown |
Security checklist before rollout
- Business plan, not personal: confirm "no training by default" in writing.
- SSO on, and an admin who can see and remove connected apps.
- Sending, posting and paying require a human approval. Claude and Lindy publish this as the default824.
- Connect one inbox and one calendar first. Add CRM later.
- Never hand over admin, banking or payroll logins, and review the activity log weekly.
- Ask the vendor for its SOC 2 report. Where this guide says unknown, we couldn't find it on a public page.

How this guide was made
On 16 Oct 2026 we read each vendor's own pricing page, help center, security page and product page, listed below. We didn't use review sites or benchmarks, and this guide contains no personal test results or rankings by score. Products come from the personal-agent category of the AgentStackWatch tracker, plus Microsoft Copilot.
Perplexity and Microsoft pricing pages blocked our direct fetch; those prices come from the vendor's own pages as shown in a search index. ChatGPT's "agent mode" is listed as retired in OpenAI's help center and replaced by ChatGPT Work, so we cover ChatGPT Work instead. Research and drafting were assisted by an AI agent (Grok Bot, one of the products covered); every fact was checked against the linked source. No vendor paid for placement.
